Daily Challenge Issues

Challenge Won't Load or Appears Blank

If today's challenge isn't displaying properly:

  • Hard refresh the page (Ctrl+F5 on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac)
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies for codeguessr.com
  • Try opening the challenge in an incognito/private browser window
  • Disable browser extensions temporarily to check for conflicts
  • Ensure JavaScript is enabled in your browser settings

My Answer Seems Correct But Isn't Accepted

This is the most common issue. Check these details:

  • Exact formatting: Include all spaces, punctuation, and capitalization
  • Output vs. description: Enter what the code outputs, not what it does
  • Data types: Numbers vs. strings are formatted differently
  • Hidden characters: Look for newlines, tabs, or special characters
  • Quotes: Some outputs include quotation marks as part of the result

Feedback Colors Are Confusing

Understanding the color-coded feedback system:

Blue: Correct character in correct position

Purple: Character exists but in wrong position

Red: Character not in the answer

Remember: Each character position is evaluated independently, including spaces and punctuation.

Submissions Not Going Through

If your guesses aren't being submitted:

  • Check your internet connection stability
  • Make sure you haven't exceeded the 6-attempt limit
  • Verify you haven't already completed today's challenge
  • Try refreshing the page and submitting again

Can't Log In to My Account

"Already Enrolled" Error

  • Check your dashboard - you may already be in this class
  • You can be enrolled in multiple classes simultaneously
  • Contact your teacher if you need to re-join after being removed
  • Log out and log back in to refresh your class memberships

Can't See Class After Joining

  • Refresh your dashboard page
  • Check that you're logged into the correct account

Progress Tracking

My Progress Isn't Saving

Streak Counter Reset Unexpectedly

  • Make sure to complete challenges before midnight local time
  • Playing as a guest doesn't maintain streaks

Statistics Look Wrong

  • Statistics update in real-time but may take a few seconds to refresh
